A student's guide to buying NEET books second hand

The books NEET is actually won on

NEET rewards NCERT accuracy more than any other Indian entrance exam, particularly in Biology, where a large share of questions can be traced to specific NCERT lines. That makes the Class 11 and 12 NCERT Biology, Physics and Chemistry books the non-negotiable base of any set, and they are also the cheapest books to buy used.

Around that base sit the titles almost every aspirant buys new: Trueman's or the standard objective Biology companions, HC Verma or DC Pandey for physics, and MS Chouhan and physical chemistry problem books. Add previous-year question compilations and a coaching module set and you have a full NEET stack.

  • NCERT Biology, Physics, Chemistry — Classes 11 and 12.
  • Objective Biology companions and diagram-heavy revision guides.
  • Physics numericals practice and physical chemistry problem sets.
  • Coaching modules and previous-year paper compilations.

Condition matters more for Biology than anything else

Biology preparation is visual — labelled diagrams, tables and flowcharts you will redraw dozens of times. A copy with a torn plate section or a heavily inked diagram page is genuinely worse to study from, unlike a physics book where a scribbled margin costs you nothing.

Every listing here carries a Like new, Good or Fair grade plus real photographs of the actual copy, including the worst wear the seller could find. For Biology, open the photos and look specifically at the diagram pages before ordering.

What used NEET books cost

Seller prices are anchored at roughly 25% of the printed MRP, with the platform margin of 15% of MRP added for the buyer. A full PCB set that would run into several thousand rupees new typically works out to a few hundred per book here.

Because delivery is charged at ₹100 per five books, buying the Biology, Physics and Chemistry material in one order is materially cheaper than three separate orders placed weeks apart.

Reselling after your attempt

NEET material has an unusually reliable resale market because the next batch needs an identical list. Listing a complete subject bundle rather than single books gets you a faster sale, since the buyer saves on delivery slabs by taking the set.

Proceeds are credited to your OldTextBooks wallet once the order is delivered, and withdrawals go to any UPI ID in multiples of ₹100 with a ₹100 minimum.
